Pam Johnson, CPS/CAP has been named
Member of the Year for 2009
Pam has been in the Administrative Assistant profession for over 25 years, starting as early as high school. She received her AOS Degree and went to work for Eastman Kodak for 18 years before leaving to join Passero Associates.
Pam joined the Flower City Chapter IAAP in October 1994. Over the many years she has held an officer position as Secretary of the Chapter, Co-Chair Arrangements for three years, helped on various committees, a member of the APW Committee 2008-2009, Arrangements for 2008 and a proud Board Member. Currently Pam is the Vice President of the Chapter. Pam also led a fundraiser for the Chapter this year. Pam says, “Flower City has been great to be a part of, as when I joined my kids were toddlers and the organization allowed me to raise my family and still be a part of it on whatever level I could give.” She received her CPS certification, has recertified once under CPS, received her CAP and has since recertified her CAP. Pam proctored the CPS/CAP exam for three years at Eastman Kodak so candidates could take the exam in a Rochester location. She has become a “Member of Excellence” through IAAP and she is a Notary Public.
Pam is currently an Executive Assistant to the CEO of Passero Associates, working for the Engineering Department, where she has been happily employed since October 2006. Passero Associates is a dream come true for Pam and she loves working there. Passero Associates recognizes and supports her involvement in the Flower City Chapter. She received the firm's Cornerstone Award last July for “Best People/Fulfilling Work Environment and Exceptional Client Service” and many peer/manager recognition “Thumbs Up” awards.
Pam has been married to her high school sweetheart for almost 20 years. They have two children, Kaitlyn and Zachary. They also have two, 10-month-old golden retrievers and a ragdoll cat. She loves working outdoors planting in her flower garden with her daughter and in their vegetable garden where the whole family takes part in. She likes going for walks and reading and is an Avon sales representative. Her kids keep her busy with school sports and the whole family are avid snowmobilers!!
